Standing Up For Your Rights

Kenzie L Arnold

Kenzie joined the ANG team in 2014, (after retiring from her employment with the State of Texas), as the Office Manager. Her duties are varied from handling the day to day financial matters (including Settlement payment processing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) to HR duties (including Payroll and 401K administration) to minor computer issues. Kenzie graduated from Carrizo Springs High school and attended Texas A&M where she earned her bachelor’s degree (Finance) in 1978. She has worked in the accounting/finance/business field since graduating. One of her most interesting jobs before joining ANG was as the Purchasing Director at the Texas State Senate.  After 15 years at the Senate, her husband accepted a job in San Antonio, where they have lived since 1997.

Kenzie and Stephen have been married for over 40 years. Their daughter, Kalen, lives in Dripping Springs. They have a son, Kameron who is married to Brittany, and they made Kenzie a Grandma as Beckett was welcomed into this world in June 2019.

Mayra Flores

Mayra has worked as a paralegal since 2014 primarily in the areas of insurance litigation, real estate law and construction defect litigation.

As a paralegal for A. Nava & Glander, Mayra currently supports the firm partners, Alex and Troy, in their practice and provides essential support from case preparation to trial preparation.

Mayra earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of the Incarnate Word and has a paralegal certificate from UTSA.

Her most important function is working with clients at a stressful point in their lives to help them achieve a positive outcome.

Mayra is fluent in Spanish.

Ileen Sloan

Ileen is the firm’s file clerk and has worked at ANG since 2015. Her duties at ANG range from physical file curator, to receiving and dropping off the mail, maintaining the electronic files, helping around the office to include leading ANG‘s birthday and holiday events, and doing whatever else moves her as our Minister of Culture. To quote Ileen, “It’s one of my most favorite places to work. The people here are hard-working and we get the job done!”

Having grown up in San Antonio, Texas, Ileen attended a private grade school for eight years and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. One of her first jobs was working at the dining halls at what was then Kelly Air Force Base. While she worked, she attended college at San Antonio College, and earned an Associate degree, where the Job Placement Center suggested the legal field would be a good fit for her.

A few of her favorite things include: turquoise blue, volunteering, reading horror and sci-fi novels, Indiana Jones movies, and nautical stuff.

Kindell Brooks

Kindell joined the ANG team in 2022 as an intern while finishing up her bachelor’s in criminal justice at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After completing her internship, she joined the ANG team as a full-time paralegal. From managing cases, to drafting documents, she is committed to providing the attorneys and clients with an environment where communication is facilitated, and standards are met. She is keen on helping those in need and has found this line of work to be very rewarding.

Prior to working at ANG, Kindell was a full-time student athlete for the University of Texas at San Antonio. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
